Training – Prevention and elimination of violence at the workplace

UNIZA makes an effort to promote the ideas of equality, diversity and inclusion and of related topics. One of them is the zero tolerance towards any kind of violence at the workplace. On the 7th September 2023, a training with title „Prevention and elimination of violence at the workplace“ was organized by the UNIZA InCities team. It was aimed at the persons involved in the process of prevention and elimantion of violence at UNIZA, inclusive the contact persons for this topic, author of the UNIZA respective guidelines, HR manager and colleagues in managerial positions.

The training was focused on physical violence, sexual harassment and different types of psychological violence. Further on, the Slovak antidiscrimination law was explained. Trainers from the Slovak National Centre for Human Rights provided concrete examples form their practice, on which they illustrated the complexity of the issue.

Training is one of the tools which should help to appropriate setting up of the prevention and elimination process at UNIZA. Additionally, it can be understood as one of the awareness raising actions.
