On December 10th and 11th, the InCITIES UNIZA Digital Transition HUB Multidisciplinary Training on Digital Transformation for Inclusive, Sustainable and Resilient (ISR) Cities unfolded with a two-day onsite event hosted at UNIZA.
The program was initiated by the head of the ERAdiate+ department prof. Tatiana Kováčiková who introduced the InCITIES project and the PIONEER Alliance.
Three teams of students then continued with the presentation of the progress they achieved in implementation of their projects on data analysis and predictions for public transport, design of a sensor network for traffic counting in the city of Žilina and design of intelligent network architecture for academic and management processes. Students received targeted and practical feedback from the industry experts and experienced UNIZA lecturers who jointly supervised the implementation of the projects as well as from the invited stakeholders.
In the second part of the program, students honed their creativity, teamworking and communication skills by participating in co-creation activities. The teams leveraged their collective knowledge and experience gained during the implementation of their projects to propose innovative applications of their digital solutions in the context of ISR cities and solve a simulated resilience challenge in the city of Žilina.
We would like to thank all students, lecturers and industrial partners from iTransys, IS – Industry Solutions and IoMobility Solutions for making this exciting event happen!
