Deliverable 1.1 - Management Guidelines Handbook
The deliverable, D1.1 Management Guidelines Handbook, details management bodies, documents, administrative forms, financial aspects, and procedures which are described, for the most part, in the Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement. The purpose of this Project Management Handbook is to provide guidance to all beneficiaries and to support them in finding relevant information quick and easily.

Deliverable 1.2 - Data Management Plan
The InCITIES deliverable D2.1 – Data Management Plan (DMP) describes how data and documents produced by the consortium of the project InCITIES (Horizon Europe grant agreement number 101071330) is managed. DMP is an important element of data management during a project as it is needed to continuously tracking, monitoring, analysing and storing data in order to ensure progress throughout the project. InCITIES is dedicated to make the data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (so called FAIR principles). Further, the public data and documents will be readily available for all our purposes, as well as those that may need this data and documents the future, also contributing to the sustainability of the project and its outcomes. This specific deliverable is a preliminary data management plan, which can be adjusted as the project progresses. The structure of this DMP is inspired by the DMP template provided by the European Commission Version 1.0 of 05 May 2021.

Deliverable 1.9 - MB minutes of the InCITIES kick-off meeting (online)
The deliverable D1.9 presents the minutes of the project InCITIES kick-off meeting that took place online on the 7th October 2022. The meeting started at 9h30 CET and ended 13h00 CET and was organised by Iscte. It consisted mainly of the presentation of recent actions and launching activities of the project.

Deliverable 2.1 - Production of a position paper including contents for each of the 7 HUBS
The InCITIES project aims to achieve the transformations of HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) and their surrounding ecosystem both centred on cities’ needs of inclusion, sustainability and resilience. Its specific focus on widening countries (Portugal and Slovakia) will allow overcoming structural, sociocultural, economic, political and institutional barriers. The InCITIES WP2, in a step-by-step pathway, plans incrementally HUBs implementation to co-create research strengths starting from knowledge cocreation around small groups of multidisciplinary researchers of each HEI partner.
A step-by-step approach has been proposed to set the basis of the knowledge HUBs on research and innovation; a survey has been launched in each HEI partner to collect current “hot” research topic and relevant research topic for the next 5 years for each one of the 7-thematic areas chosen to structure the InCITIES project.
The contributions received have been processed and aggregated when relevant in a co-construction process using email exchange and consolidation workshops.
The approach was successful with more than 130 contributions received coming from 60 researchers working in the 5 HEI partners. Another point is that most of the contributions received have been aggregated in relevant subtopic and involved at least two project members; this will be a good basis for developing collaborative work in the follow up of this task (work to be done in task 2.2).
Finally, during the survey, a huge collection of scientific references and relevant projects has been gathered and will be shared between the partners to extend their cross knowledge.
In the next task of WP2, the research contributions identified will be consolidated by a second round of discussion between researchers; in parallel, the present document will be shared with some stakeholders identified in the project proposal by online meeting or taking opportunities of conferences.
WP3
Deliverable 3.1 - Analysis of HRS4R guidelines, strategies, and practices
The deliverable, D3.1 Analysis of HRS4R guidelines, strategies, and practices has been prepared at the kick-off workshop for WP3, which took place on November 22nd at TH Köln. The analysis was prepared institution-specific referring to the 40 principles of Charter and Code using the template provided by the EU Commission for the HRS4R analysis (in order to apply for the HRS4R award).
Deliverable 3.2 - Specification of HRS4R Actions
The deliverable, D3.2 Specification of HRS4R action was prepared through bilateral meetings with WP leader of TH Köln and with each consortium partner. Together with the WP leader, members of each institution analysed the current situation regarding the implementation of the 40 principles of Charter and Code at the institution in order to prepare the application for the HR Excellence in Research Award. Project Management, Timeline and Stakeholder involvement were discussed with each institution.

Deliverable 4.1 - Analysis of the EDI situation and draft of a joint EDI programme for students, staff, and researchers common to the consortium
The analysis of the EDI situation and draft of a joint Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme for students, staff, and researchers common to the consortium was prepared through a survey on EDI-topics addressing the five InCITIES Higher Education Institutions (HEI). The key findings were summarized and the next steps discussed.

Deliverable 6.1 - Pedagogical Model Strategic Plan
Work package six – “Capacity building Actions on Learning by Developing Pedagogical Model (LbD) in ISR Cities” has two parallel but interconnected objectives: First, in terms of content, it aims to build from WP2’s knowledge hubs and paves the way for a common teaching curriculum between InCITIES partners around the topic of Inclusive, Sustainable and Resilient (ISR) cities. Second, given the inherent context-dependent complexity of the topic, it evades the possibility to be taught as a traditional university lecture. Therefore, the Learning by Developing Pedagogical Model (LbD) is introduced as a way for students to learn first-hand how to address the ISR challenges in practice, in collaboration with local and regional stakeholders. The LbD pedagogical approach will be applied in the form of pilot trainings at UNIZA and ISCTE. The first concrete step towards this goal is the delivery of this D6.1 deliverable “Pedagogical Model Strategic Plan”, a document that sums up what is going to be done for the pilots, why and how.
In the deliverable, Chapter 1 introduces the policy background and the European goals underpinning the inCITIES project, such as the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission. Chapter 2 makes the connection between the Sustainable Development Goals (as the foundation for the ISR teaching content) and the Inner Development Goals (as the foundation for the LbD approach). IDGs are particularly important to empower students to feel capable of acting and making impact despite the scale of climate change and social challenges cities are facing today. A summary of the state of progress towards the SDGs is also provided for each participating country (Slovakia, Portugal, France, Germany and Finland). Chapter 3 unpacks in more detail the theory and application of the LbD approach. It also presents the model of six pillars of futures thinking for transforming (Inayatullah, 2008) which is used when intervening in cities. Chapter 4 introduces the framework for the design and guidance of the pilot courses, which are currently due to start in the Spring semester 2024 (February-May) at UNIZA. Finally, chapter 5 introduces the online training courses that will be developed to build the foundation for the LbD approach and learnings to continue being adopted by InCITIES partners beyond the life of the project.

Deliverable 7.1 - Dissemination, exploitation, and communication plan (part 1)
This deliverable is related to project task T7.1, dissemination, exploitation and communication plan. It describes the project’s communication objectives, main target groups (TGs), and all communication-related activities concerning the implementation of the project work packages (WPs). The document also explains project partner roles and responsibilities pertaining to communication activities and communication channels. Deliverable D7.1 will be the basis for monitoring dissemination, exploitation, and communication activities, and will be updated in M15.
Preparation of this deliverable was led and completed by the UNIZA team (Tatiana Kováčiková, Shahab Khormali, Olena Hundarenko). The project’s consortium contributed to the preparation of the deliverable by providing required inputs as well as structured feedback on the proposed plan which helped to develop this deliverable properly.
Deliverable 7.4 - InCITIES Project Website
This deliverable is related to project task 7.3, website and social media, and provides a detailed overview of the project’s website design and implementation process.
The design, implementation, and launch of the project’s website and the preparation of this deliverable were led and completed by the UNIZA team (Tatiana Kováčiková, Shahab Khormali, and Yannick Cornet). The project’s coordinator and partners supported the implementation of task 7.3 and the preparation of deliverable 7.4 by supplying required content and inputs related to the InCITIES project objectives and ongoing activities (e.g., workshops, seminars, training courses). Furthermore, the project consortium provided structured and meaningful feedback on designing and developing the project’s webpage resulting in successfully fulfilling task 7.3.
Deliverable 7.5 - Project social media
This deliverable is related to project task 7.3, website and social media, and provides an overview of the project’s social media Twitter and LinkedIn.
The design, implementation, and launch of the social media and the preparation of this deliverable were led and completed by the UNIZA team (Tatiana Kováčiková, Tibor Petrov and Lenka Kopunova). The project’s coordinator and partners supported the implementation of task 7.3 and the preparation of deliverable 7.5. Furthermore, the project consortium provided structured and meaningful feedback on designing and developing the project’s social media resulting in successfully fulfilling task 7.3.
Deliverable 7.6 - Report on Dissemination Activities (Part 1)
This deliverable outlines the InCITIES external dissemination channels as well as the partner-level and project-level dissemination activities conducted within the first year of the InCITIES implementation. This document will be updated again in M24 (September 2024) and M36 (September 2025).
Preparation of this deliverable was led and completed by the UNIZA team (Tibor Petrov, Tatiana Kováčiková). The project’s coordinator and consortium contributed to the preparation of the deliverable by providing required inputs as well as feedback on the structure and the content of this document.
