A job shadowing initiative that falls under the Erasmus+ Programme Staff Mobility for Training (STT). Stefania Stellacci from the ISTAR-ISCTE research centre spent five days (18.09.2023-22.09.2023) at the IUAV University of Venice , that is member of the PIONEER Alliance, of which all InCITIES universities are members, working under the guidance of Alessandra Baudo , the Head of the Research Planning and Evaluation Service and an administrative supporter of the ethics committee at IUAV University of Venice.
The Ethics Committee for Research at IUAV plays a crucial role in meticulously evaluating whether research projects align with the ethical principles outlined in international and national regulations, the Ethical Code at IUAV, and the European Regulation EU 2016/679 concerning the protection of personal data. On September 19, 2023, Stefania participated in an ethics committee session aimed at assessing the adherence to ethical standards within research conducted by scholars at IUAV, encompassing both master’s and doctoral projects. The committee, consisting of Barbara Pasa (coordinator), Francesca Cappelletti, Micol Roversi Monaco, Alessandra Baudo, and Stefania, collectively reviewed three requests submitted to the ethics committee by scientific supervisors overseeing distinct research projects.
During her brief stay, Stefania familiarized herself with IUAV’s campus and facilities. She actively engaged in meetings with science managers, professors, and administrative coordinators at IUAV, where discussions revolved around future and ongoing research projects, strategies for pedagogical development, and opportunities for international research partnerships. She actively sought out potential future collaborations, particularly within the European Pioneer Alliance.
This Erasmus+ mobility is very much aligned with the objectives of the InCITIES WP3 HRS4R actions and also with the InCITIES WP2 objectives to increase avenues for research collaboration.
