Veronika Pirošík Mešková presented the UNIZA experience with the gender equality and diversity in the facilities of the Žilina self-governing region authority (ŽSK) on May 3, 2023. There the InCities project was introduced. The presentation was provided based on the request of the organizers, the regional authority itself.
The participation in the event was in the line with the objective 2 of the InCities project: “Build and strenghten a long-term network of participating HEIs and surronding ecosystem actors…“. The event was dedicated to internal stakeholders of ŽSK. It was opened by the authority director. The audience had the chance to encounter the institutional documents related to gender equality and later on to participate in an interractive workshop. Active participation of the InCities consortium members in the happening was a natural step toward further cooperation between UNIZA and ŽSK started in February 2023 and focused on GEP design. It will definitely continue in the future in order to define the needs of the self-governing region (especially the ones relevant for the Žilina city) towards inclusion and sustainability.
